The Redeemer’s Cross
The crown of Thorns they placed
Upon my precious Savior’s head,
Reflects the pain that He endured
Because my soul was dead.
The Robe He left behind that day
His body rose again,
Reminds me of the promise
That I too, shall live with Him.
And to assure the comfort
Of His peace, and joy and love,
God sent the Holy Spirit
Represented by the Dove.
And so this Cross has meaning
For it tells the greatest story;
The sign of my redemption
And the promise of His glory.
